The time has come….

23rd July, 2017

The time has come the Walrus said…to talk of many things…
This is a post I’ve been waiting ever so patiently to write. Waiting for everything to fall into place, before shouting from the rooftops.

Throwback to 18 months ago.
We had just come back from overseas and upon our return began dreaming of the next trip. It got us talking about how wonderful it would be to take a ‘gap year’ and head off together, as the little foursome that we are, and have a year to regroup, escape the rat race for a while, enjoy quality family time together, take things a little slower and really LIVE life.
So, after many late night conversations and some tough decision making, we’ve decided we’re doing it.
Andrew is finally taking his long service leave and we are heading away for 12 months. Just the four of us and a backpack each…(EEK! How will I cope…?!!)

We have a few months ahead of us before we set off. Lots to organise and settle, but we are equal parts excited, nervous and pumped – all rolled into a little ball of crazy!!

This itty bitty blog will be changing a little. I will be documenting our travels and adventures. I will continue to write from my heart and write about what inspires and moves me. I will continue to share beauty and design. Food. Family. Us.
I really hope you stick around for the journey.

A name change yet to come also. One that fits in with what we’re about to embark upon.

Thanks for continually being so rad to me.

Big love,

PS: I had the beautifully talented Clare from Victor Fox design this illustrated family portrait for us.
I think she has captured us all pretty perfectly!! x

Saw this quote on a little board outside an amazing little bar in Barcelona. It struck an instant chord and has since become my most favourite quote ever (!!) so take it with you on your journeys… “The world is like a book & those who have not travelled have only read one page”.
Can’t wait to see how many pages of your ‘book’ you guys will get to write!!
