Okay. Guilty! I know I said I would start to frequent here more often. The year has just got away from me – yet again!

I have had quite a few messages and emails lately about our trip to this beautiful property, so I thought I would pop everything here for you all to check out.

One great take away from this past year of crazy has been exploring and discovering more to love about our home state of Victoria. 

Late last year we were lucky enough to stay a few days down the coast in Skenes Creek North at Cape Cottages.An hour and a half drive from Geelong along the Great Ocean Road, or you may choose to drive inland (which we opted for), for a change of scene. 
As you pull in, keep your eyes peeled for resident koala “Kenny”. 

Ollie’s View Cottage sits atop the grassy knoll, surrounded by beautiful lush gardens and huge trees. 
We pulled up right out the front, unloaded the car up the stairs and headed inside. So cosy and inviting – we felt right at home. It was just perfect!

With all the creature comforts one could possible want or need, all that was left was to stock up on some supplies.
We took a 10 minute drive to Apollo Bay to find the supermarket. There are two to choose from – IGA in the main street, or FoodWorks in Hardy Street. Plenty of variety at each.

The weather was quite average for the end of October, but we didn’t mind at all. 
A weekend curled up in front of the fire playing cards and boardgames, rainy beach walks and watching the football together was just what the doctor ordered.

Ollie’s View is a spacious 3 bedroom cottage, sleeping up to 6, with a King bed and Ensuite in the Master, Queen bed in the 2nd bedroom and 2 King single beds in Bedroom 3. 
Perfect for a large family, couples or 2 smaller families.
A stunning open living and dining space overlooking the 8 acre property and the Souther Ocean. It is just magic!

The very best part of all – Cape Cottages is pet friendly and warmly welcomes your furry friends. We will forever treasure our time here with our precious Lexi girl.
