1st December, 2016
On Saturday we celebrated our Lily.
Ten years young.
We enjoyed a lovely party at home with her girl friends.
Not wanting to leave anyone out – she had invited all of the girls from her class and her cousin who is the same age. There were a few that couldn’t make it, so we ended up with 9 girls. It was perfect.
Such a good age. Silly, but fun. Clever and switched on. They eat lots too, which was good as we had quite a spread for them to enjoy.
Andrew was in charge of games. We didn’t want anything too young and daggy so we decided on a few ‘Minute to Win It’ games. What a hit!
They also had a dance off and played the longest ever game of celebrity head.
Lily wasn’t too fussed on a theme for the day – all she asked for was that I included her favourite colours: mint and gold and she had also requested a big platter to enjoy with her friends – so a big platter she got! (The kid would live on cheese and dip if I let her)
After the party, we had an hour to clean up and restock the food table before the family arrived for the afternoon. In true Barnes style – the last guests didn’t leave til 10pm. Just how we like it!!
I made the most of having everyone together, getting a few happy snaps with the birthday girl, but as per usual, I forgot to get a shot of her and I…
Life is a precious gift, and with each passing birthday – we should celebrate.
Now the birthdays are over for the year – time to think about Christmas!
Eeeeeek!!!
Big love,
C x
