ALO-HAAAA!!
We were on a secret mission to Hawaii – the Aloha state, to surprise my wonderful Mother in Law (Andrew’s Mum, the kids Nanny), who was holidaying with her friend in Hawaii, and thankfully our planning paid off and the surprise went off without a hitch!

Flying direct from Osaka, Japan – we had an easy flight, and arrived to beautiful blue skies and 25ºC.
We grabbed a taxi from the airport to our hotel, a quick freshen up and then hot footed it over to Irene’s hotel which was a few blocks away.
We waited in the Lobby and had the helpful staff call her room and ask her to come down to the reception.
As soon as the kids saw her, they ran as fast as their little legs could carry them.
It was a very special moment for all of us, and one I will carry with me forever. Family is so special and we have missed Irene so very much.
Whilst social media and phone calls are great for keeping us all connected, it was just so good to see her.
We spent a couple of days together before she headed back home to Australia.
