In my opinion, one of the most scenic drives in the world is that from Banff to Jasper.
We hadn’t planned to visit Jasper, but after one of the Australian staff members at our hotel in Banff raved about the journey, we just HAD to see it for ourselves!

As the car pulled into the main street of Banff – we collectively picked up our jaws off the floor. It was absolutely remarkable. Snow capped mountains in the distance, green lush gardens with trees full of leaves. The homes were just gorgeous, as was the main street – and I just knew we were going to love our time here!

Crossing the border from Seattle, Washington State was a breeze. Stopped by border control to present our passports and answer a few questions, then sent on our merry way.
Canada was always on our (rough) itinerary when we left Australia back in November, but I couldn’t believe that we were actually here!

World Schooling is a term that gets thrown around quite a bit these days. Especially in the travel family circles.
When we initially made the decision to take the kids out of mainstream schooling and travel the world for a year, the first thing I did was book an appointment with our school Principal.
I knew he was a wealth of knowledge, with several decades in the education system under his belt, and I was open to taking his lead when it came to this next big education step for us.
